For my mash up I was really torn between doing a video and an image. I decided to simply go along with the image mash up. For my image mash up I decided to do the people I feel should have won Nba titles during times of other dominate players. First is Karl Malone and John Stockton, which consistently lost to Michel Jordan. The second is Lebron James who although some consider the best player in the league is ringless while Kobe has a “fully dressed hand.” Each of my mash ups were very simple. Around April 15th weekend is always a HUGE weekend for my promotional company because it is my business partners birthday weekend. He is a very well known person in the Richmond area as a result numerous people feel obligated to party with him on his birthday weekend. Since today is Tuesday and it is a good distance from the Friday events I am currently setting my automated tweets in an effort to make sure that people are consistently seeing the theme and prices of the party. The automated tweets come up every 5 to 6 minutes on 3 different profiles. While the auto twitter also follows and unfollows people the whole day.
Last Friday was a real rough day for my promotional team because we needed to have a decent event in order to have a sell out the next week. However, it was raining and thunder storming so the event ended up just being “alright”. In the eyes of a promoter an “alright” event is one that does not bring profit or one that has a lack of people in attendance. This particular Friday because of the rain was a combination of both. When a night like this happens the typical lively promoters is very quite and very unfriendly which normally cause the people that did come that weak to not come the next which is a real double negative.
