Mash Up!!!!!!

The way people learn is always changing however one thing about learning that will always stay the same is the best way to teach yourself anything is when someone searches it themselves.  After reading the two articles it is clear that it will always be very difficult for people to keep up with the changes in technology.  It is always safer to try and keep everything the same however that is not the best way to handle changes.  Allowing students to learn in their own ways or expand their creativity will allow them to be able to learn and absorb more knowledge.  However, the problem with this knew form of technology is a matter of copy rights and giving credit.  This however shall be a issue from here on out as far as technology goes.  I personally don’t see it ever being a fixable issue without their being a enormous backlash.  The backlash would come in the form of people simply not using products or finding the joy they once had in the freed to explore technology like we are able to do today.

March 31

I was kinda confused of when we were to begin our final project for #Ds106 but I was told today by Jim Groom that we should have started already.  Well today would be a great day to start updating you on my job that they call PROMOTING.  My company Climatic Nation does events every Friday and Saturday so Thursdays are typically the busiest days for me.  Thursdays are the days last minute people decide they want to try and jump on an event, Thursdays are also the days that people might back out of an event if they think it isnt going well.  Today I was bombarded with people trying to jump on my event sense we have a VCU celebration and everyone for VCU is trying to party because their team is in the Final 4.

Dick Vitale's Apology Web Story

ChangesSportshttps://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=396f72a060&view=att&th=12eebc8e33f508b8&attid=0.1&disp=inline&realattid=f_glor75a40&zwhttps://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=396f72a060&view=att&th=12eebc8e33f508b8&attid=0.2&disp=inline&realattid=f_glor78nw1&zw

I changed the title to Dick Vitale’s Apology to VCU then I changed the

paragraph at the bottom and deleted the Video. Below is the changed
paragraph:

As is the case every year when the NCAA men’s tournament bracket is
released on Selection Sunday, there were plenty of teams that were
given the cold shoulder by the selection committee, and just like
every other year,Dick Vitale was there to stick up for them.
This year Vitale was busy defending Colorado and Virginia Tech, who
were both left out of the Big Dance, despite having rather impressive
resumes. Colorado put up a solid 21-13 record, which included three
wins over Kansas State, who received a No. 5 seed in the tournament,
and one over Texas. As for Virginia Tech, they finished the season
with a 21-11 record, with two of those wins coming against Florida
State, and one over Duke.
Vitale also vouched for St. Mary’s and Harvard, while voicing his
displeasure over the selections of UAB and VCU.
So how unjust was the committee’s decision to pick UAB and VCU over
Colorado and Virginia Tech? As Vitale would describe it, it was a lot
like “picking Rosanne Barr over Scarlett Johnsson in a beauty
contest.”
Ouch! I’m not sure which is more harsh: VT and Colorado’s snubs, or
that comment?

Before watching the video below I would like to apologize and update
you on VCU’s success in the tournament they deserve to be in:

For a team that barely made it into the tournament, and had to defeat
USC in the inaugural First Four, VCU kept it rolling Sunday night to
advance to the first Sweet 16 in the school’s history.
VCU will compete in the Sweet 16 later this week against Florida
State, in which they can continue to keep a run going, and perhaps be
the unsung team of this year’s tournament like George Mason was a few
years ago from the same CAA conference VCU is in.
The Rams have the talent to play with anyone in the country, and will
definitely keep it competitive. For now, though, the team that most
argued should never have received an at-large bid is still dancing on
into the Sweet 16.

Websites Gone Wacko

Now in my #Ds106 class we have gotten to the segment where we change websites. I am going to work on changing a clothing website. I have yet to decide between Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. I want to change these website because numerous times a day I get spam email from some clothing companies with cheap and ugly clothing. I would like to change up one of these sites so people can look and believe they are getting brand clothing when they really aren’t.

Commercial

When my group was first asked to make a 30 minute segment for ds106 radio we were very worried, but when Kelsey came up with the genius idea of doing 3o minutes of straight of radio our tasks got a lot easier. Doing 30 minutes of straight radio was easy in two aspects. First, was the fact that when you listen to the radio most of the time you are listening to commercials. Second, unlike other groups we did not have to meet as often as other groups because our work was really all individual. It is hard to pick an individual commercial that stood out more than the others because of how much time was put into each commercial so slighting any by saying it was better than the rest wouldn’t be right.

End Of Year Project

For the weeks left in my #Ds106 class I will be allowing everyone to bare witness to the life I call promotion.  I have been a promoter for different clubs in the Richmond & DC area ever since I was 17 years old.  The months of March, April, and May are always the craziest because it begins to get hot outside and students are trying to find reasons to celebrate since school has worn them out.  I will allow you to receive a sneak peak at some of the daily and weekly task I must take in order to make some of the big events my company holds happen.
